I am a current 3rd year at the University of Georgia studying geography and atmospheric sciences. Growing up, I always had a natural curiosity for our environment, but never thought about pursuing it as a career. Coming into UGA I was undecided and by chance stumbled into the major through an introductory weather and climate course. I discovered that I had a deep passion for understanding our environment and its processes. I am particularly interested in climate change and how weather will be impacted by a changing climate. As a result, I want to learn about both past and current weather. Through forecasting I am able to learn about weather patterns and seasonal variability with large scale weather phenomena.
