My whole life I have been captivated by the weather, and not just how it looks but wanting to truly understand how it works. I am part of a pretty big family, so naturally we are big road trip people! When me and my siblings were younger my family and I would have to stop for the night in small towns before finishing the rest of the trip. We would get in late and there was never anything on the TV except the Weather Channel. Something as simple as watching the local news broadcast or watching videos of severe storms decided what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. From then on weather was always on my mind, always giving my family updates on the nearest storms and what it might mean for our area.

When I applied for college I knew I needed to do something I was passionate. Now, I am a second year undergraduate at the University of Georgia pursuing a bachelors degree in Atmospheric Sciences with a Geology minor. My biggest interest at the moment is severe weather, specifically hurricanes, but I have a growing interest in broadcast meteorology. When thinking about the future, my main goal is to work for NWS Severe Storm Prediction, but also hope to pursue a career in the Navy as a meteorologist.

Besides weather, some of my biggest passions are enjoying movies and being with my family and friends!
