I'm Scout! I'm currently in my sophomore year of undergrad here at UGA pursuing degrees in Atmospheric Science and Geography, set to graduate in Fall 2026. I recently transferred in from Georgia State University. My interest in weather first sparked when I was really young, around kindergarten-1st grade I was fascinated by the meteorologists on TV and all their fancy maps with all the fancy colors. A tour I took of the Weather Channel only further cemented this interest. As I grew older, my interest shifted more from "what is happening" to "how is this happening", which has led me to my current position right now. My main weather interest is winter weather, (sub)arctic/(sub)polar climates, along with the Winter season as a whole. I also enjoy severe weather. My main goal is to hopefully work as a forecaster, perhaps with an agency like the NWS or to do research work (maybe on a topic related to before mentioned interests!).
